Youth Arts Series: Summer 2017

East Hawai’i Cultural Center’s Youth Arts Series (YAS) is an exciting immersion experience for young artists. Students have the opportunity to explore a variety of engaging and innovative art-making processes. We strive to enrich the artistic abilities of our students in a fun, nurturing environment that stimulates their artistic talents.

OIO Concert: from Piety to Piracy – Ave to Arrgh!

Saturday, May 20, 2017 - 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Orchid Isle Orchestra will present a concert on Saturday, May 20, 4 p.m., at the East Hawaii Cultural Center/Hawaii Museum of Contemporary Art (EHCC/HMOCA) in Hilo. Music includes works by Mozart (Ave Verum Corpus), Vivaldi/Bach, Grieg, Mascagni, Bartok, plus a medley from Pirates of the Caribbean. Walter Greenwood and Cathy Young conduct. The public is invited to this free concert; donations are welcome at the door.
