EBB & FLOW ARTS present FREE MULTIMEDIA SHOW!

On Saturday, February 17, 7:30PM, Ebb & Flow Arts will present a multimedia show at East Hawai'i Cultural Center, 141 Kalakaua St., Hilo.  Admission is free, donations accepted.
 
  • The show features, film, art, piano, poetry, and dance.

Way Two Many Sopranos: Louder Than Words

The vocal duo Two Many Sopranos, consisting of singers Amy Horst and Erin Smith, will bring their unique interpretations of classics and new favorites to Hilo. The duo's pianist is WalterGreenwood. Joining them are local theater standouts Norman Arancon, Kathy Frankovic, Phill Russell, and Douglas Wayman. The performers will also be accompanied by Quack Moore and Loren Antolik. 
 
The show's program, entitled Way Two Many Sopranos: Louder Than Words, presents music for trio, duet, and solo voices both with piano and guitar.

A Classical Dance Drama - Swagatam Krishna

Padma Dance Academy will do a one-time only showing of a classical Indian dance drama—Swagatam 
Krishna—at the East Hawaii Cultural Center,  6:00-8:00 pm, on Saturday, August 26, 2017. 
 
The August 26th performance tells the story of how Krishna appeared on Earth in the prison of his
uncle—a tyrant with an insatiable thirst for world domination.

OIO Concert: from Piety to Piracy – Ave to Arrgh!

Saturday, May 20, 2017 - 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Orchid Isle Orchestra will present a concert on Saturday, May 20, 4 p.m., at the East Hawaii Cultural Center/Hawaii Museum of Contemporary Art (EHCC/HMOCA) in Hilo. Music includes works by Mozart (Ave Verum Corpus), Vivaldi/Bach, Grieg, Mascagni, Bartok, plus a medley from Pirates of the Caribbean. Walter Greenwood and Cathy Young conduct. The public is invited to this free concert; donations are welcome at the door.
