3D Printing & Printmaking with Kawelina Cruz

Class Description:
This unique class is a fusion of technology and traditional fine art media. Students will design and create their own printmaking tools using 3D printing technology. Class includes design principles, learning to use a 3D printing software program, and creating images using a traditional printing press. Students will work with Kawelina to create their own block printing plate. They will also have the opportunity to put their tools to the test. Kawelina will guide them through the inking and printing process with EHCC’s in-house printing press. Students will keep their self-designed block printing plate and stamp to use over and over again!

All participants enrolling in the class must have received their COVID19 vaccination prior to the start of the class. We reserve the right to request proof of vaccination status.

Distances of at least 3 ft. will be maintained amongst individuals at all times during classes.

Bio:Kawelina Cruz graduated from the University of Hawaii at Hilo with her B.A in Art. She starting to specialize in printmaking but is interested in exploring and expanding on other types of mediums. Currently, she is working on her portfolio for graduate school and discovering ways to improve her knowledge of art. Learn More
