EHCC Lecture Series Online Presents: Hawaiʻi through the lens of fiction: A discussion with two Hawaiian authors

Sunday, June 11th, 2023 at 4PM HST

The EHCC Lecture Series is pleased to announce that our June Zoom event will feature a discussion with two authors whose fiction gives a prominent role to Hawaiian settings: USA Today best-selling author Sara Ackerman, whose historical novels such as The Codebreaker’s Secret, Red Sky Over Hawaii, and Radar Girls bring the WWII era in Hawaiʻi to life; and Jasmin ‘Iolani Hakes, whose just-released first novel Hula (set in Keaukaha) made Elle’s list of best new books to read this summer as well as Oprah’s Book Club’s spring reading list.

Free to both EHCC members and non-members.
