Program Description
YAS is expanding this year! New classes, new opportunities to make art. More classes are in the works, be sure to keep up with us, follow the East Hawai‘i Cultural Center on social media and sign up for our email list (be sure to put a check mark in the YAS box).
 
We are excited to announce the first session of our brand new after school programming. Session 1 will include 8 class days and studio time under the direction of Bella Freedman. Students will learn basic ceramic sculpting techniques and work on forming their own creations.
 
DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS THURSDAY JAN. 30TH AT 4PM
 
Session 1- February 2020 ages 12-17
Mondays: 02/03, 02/10, 02/17, 02/24
Wednesdays: 02/5, 02/12, 02/19, 02/26
Class from 3:00-5:00 PM both days
Open Studio on Wednesdays from 1:00-3:00

‘Ceramics Studio Classes with Bella Freedman’ will offer enrollment fee discounts to students, ages 16-18. YAS will discount a students enrollment fee up to $10/hr of studio assistant work (up to 4 hours per session). Studio Assistant positions will be filled on a first come first serve basis. There will be up to 3 assistants per session. Email [email protected] to inquire about becoming a Studio Assistant.
 
Registering Your Child:
Enrollment Fee per student for 4 week session (8 classes, 4 open studio days):
$130 EHCC Members (Parent or Guardian who is registering the student)
$153 Non Members
 
All art supplies included, light snacks will also be included during open studio time
 
! ! ! Please be sure to submit paperwork at the time of payment. We will not have a way of contacting you otherwise and you may miss out on important registration information.
 
Refund Policy:
Refunds requested after January 28, are non-refundable. EHCC is a non-profit organization, all of the money from enrollment fees goes directly into the program to provide supplies and other resources necessary to provide the best experience possible for all of the students.

    Bella Freedman is a recent graduate of the University of Hawaii where she studied philosophy and received accolades for her writing. A third-generation ceramicist, she enjoys throwing on the wheel and sculpting very small women. Learn More
