Augusto Murillo, photographer, videographer, editor and director.
Augusto Murillo was a photographer in New York City for 9 years before traveling through South America for 7 years to help archaeologists document petroglyphs and pictographs in the Atacama desert in Chile, participated with anthropologists to recover the oral history of back-strap weavers in Peru, Chile and Bolivia and directed the creation of a Bio-Circuit in the Peruvian Amazon. In Oahu, Augusto Murillo worked for the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies, a center that educates, connects, and empowers security practitioners to build partner capacity, shared understanding, and networks to enhance stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. With this applied knowledge, plus his life experience as a photographer, he created this course to help develop young leaders inside our community.
