The Youth Arts Series Coloring Book Contest

The Youth Arts Series (YAS) will be turning 5 years old in October! To celebrate this milestone, we’re inviting keiki and teens to participate in our coloring book design contest! We will select 3 coloring page designs to be included in our “5 Years of YAS” birthday coloring book. One of the three selections will also be chosen to be the book’s cover design. The book will be available for sale mid-fall, all proceeds will go towards continuing the YAS mission of providing arts education opportunities to keiki and teens. 

Entry rules:

• Complete the Artwork Release form and submit it along with the artwork

• Designs must be black and white and include negative spaces to be filled in by the owner of the coloring book 

• Submissions should be sized to 8.5” x 8.5”

• Submissions can be sent in via email or hardcopy

  • Hard copy submissions:

    • Dry media should be coated with fixative or other finishing spray

    •  Submissions should be brought to East Hawai‘i Cultural Center’s office during normal business hours: Tuesday-Friday, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM

  • Email submissions:

    • Design should be between 150-300 dpi

    • Send to [email protected]

    • In the email, please include: artist’s name, parent or guardian’s name, and secondary method of contact (other than email)

• All artwork should be original
