Voices of Hilo: A reading by two poets
A reading by two local poets whose poems explore the lessons they have learned from decades in Hawai’i.

Sunday, November 5th 3:00- 4:30pm HST

Join us at EHCC on Sunday, November 5 for a live reading by two local poets whose poems explore the lessons they have learned from decades in Hawai’i, about love and loss, about caring for the land, about finding meaning in a world that seems on the verge of collapse. Tomas Nikolai Belsky and Terry McNeely will read their poetry before a live audience in Kahua ‘Elua Theatre, followed by discussion and Q&A. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet local artists and enjoy poetry straight from the source!

Painter, print maker, teacher, political activist and wordsmith Tomas Belsky, best known for his paintings and prints, has worked to bring art to schools, jails, transitional housing centers, and the general public. Terry McNeely began writing poetry following his retirement and the loss of his wife, looking for means to heal and find meaning in his life.

Free admission - Reservation recommended.
