Class Description: 
Introduction to Handbuilding with Ash Huang. This class will cover foundational techniques through historical ceramic artifacts including pinching, coiling, and slab work. Students will explore cultures through techniques and experiment with their own projects. 
 
All firings and glazes included with tuition.

  • Workshops Refund Policy: If a student is unable to attend class due to illness, cold/flu like symptoms, or other health related issue, a full refund will be issued. If a student is unable to attend due to non-health related issues, a full refund will be issued if cancellation is prior to the registration deadline; if after the registration deadline but prior to the start of class a 50% refund will be issued; and no refund will be issued after the first day of class.

    Bio:
    Ash Huang (she/her) is a ceramic artist from O'ahu experimenting with sound and film. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture (focused in ceramics) from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and a Masters of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art & Design in Vancouver, Canada.   Learn More
