About Temple Children
Temple Children was founded in 2015 by Miya Tsukazaki (Hawai‘i, USA) and David ‘MEGGS’ Hooke (Melbourne, Australia).
Through their work and travels in public and contemporary art, Miya and David saw unique opportunities to enhance and revitalize communities, beginning with Hilo, Hawai‘i.
Through efforts to revitalize Hilo, the Temple Children projects began.
David and Miya have the capacity to assemble influencers from around the world, such as artists, chefs, musicians, and other creatives and forward-thinkers, and unite them with like minded artisans, tastemakers, and leaders in the Big Island community.
By developing a platform for these creative activists, Miya and David hope to facilitate idea-sharing and progressive thinking to encourage the cultivation of a global consciousness. Through visual art, food, music, and educational/experiential workshops, their goal is to execute projects that are inclusive, accessible, and will positively enhance the planet and humanity.
