Life Drawing w/Bob Weiss

Classes held every Tuesday at 6:00pm. Students are required to bring their own art supplies. There is a $10 Model fee. Classes

are held at EHCC.


Floral Group - 3rd Saturday of the Month 1-3 pm

Bring flowers from your garden, vases, and your enthusiasm! You will learn about color, structures and techniques in flower arranging.

The group meets at the EHCC Pavilion. No Fee


Cinema Workshop, Wednesdays 5:30-7:30 pm

Learn all about making movies with Lee Michael Walczuk every Wednesday evening. Classes meet in the Annex or Theater.

$10.00 per class. All ages are welcome.


Marionette Workshop, Thursdays 5:30-7:30 pm

Learn all about marionettes with Lee Michael Walczuk every Thursday evening. Classes meet in the Annex. $10.00 All ages welcome.


Tribal Belly Dancing, Tuesdays 6:00-7:30 pm w/ Makara

American Tribal Style (AT’S) Belly dance is a group improvisational style of belly dance which uses cues and body positioning,

basic group dance formations and much more. Please wear comfortable form fitting clothes that shows the body line such as

yoga pants and a tank top. Classes start June 1st.


Cabaret Belly Dancing, Tuesdays 4:00-5:30 pm w/ Makara

This class teaches students the basics of cabaret style belly dance beginning with posture, presence and balance. Please wear

comfortable form fitting clothes that shows the body line such as yoga pants and a tank top. Midriff bearing tops such as work

out tops are also acceptable. Classes are April 5th thru May 24th. $15/ cl, $80/ session (8weeks). For more information & registration

Hula Classes, Wednesdays 2:30-4:30 pm w/ Kumu Hula Leilehua Yuen

Join Kumu Leilehua Yuen for beginning hula classes, all ages welcome, at the EHCC each Wednesday at 2:30-4:30pm, starting

February 17. It’s also a great way to learn about Hawaiian culture. Students must be able to follow instructions and act respectfully.

Traditional Japanese Woodblock Printmaking w/ Glenn Yamanoha, Tuesdays June

1st-August 3rd, 6:00-8:30 pm

An introductory class on traditional Japanese woodblock printing methods and techniques. Japanese traditions utilize waterbased

inks/pigments with nori (rice paste) as the binder, applied with a brush and printed by hand using a baren (printing pad).

Instructions will include tool maintenance (brushes and chisels), preparation of washi (handmade paper), image transfer/

registration, cutting blocks and printing techniques. Course will cover history, vocabulary (Japanese woodblock terms), examples,

critiques, exploration of alternative/experimental techniques and individual development of prints. Classes are designed for

beginners but advanced students interested in Eastern methods are welcome. Supplies and materials will be arranged at first

meeting. Limited enrollment. Classes are $150 before or on first day of class. This is a 10 week class. For more information call

Comedy Improv. Mondays July 5th–August 30th, 5:30-7:30pm

Actors, extroverts, teachers, and the curious all invited to join us in an 8 week Improv workshop, with a definite slant toward

comedy. Conducted by Hilo's own stand up comedian Aunty Tutu (aka Lynnie Nakkim). Wear comfortable clothing and

bring one or two inspiring props. Sign up for 8 sessions, and prepay, $56, $40 for members. First two sessions pay $7 to try it

out. Mondays 5:30-7:30. Please sign up ahead of time because without enough participants it is no fun, and the class won't go.

Slack Key “Ukulele” Beginning, Tuesdays August 3rd–31st 5:00-6:30pm

Slack Key “Ukulele” beginning classes with David Heaukulani every Tuesday from 5-6:30pm. $ 35 members $ 45 non members.

Club Mud Hawai’i w/Beckie Marshall, Fridays August 6th-May 27th, 3:15-4:30pm
